Since we’ve opened, we’ve been dedicated to changing the lives of people one person at a time, through martial arts, education and coaching. We strive to provide a safe, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for all students and family members. We take pride in creating an environment for individuals to achieve, develop and succeed in their personal goals.
We strongly believe that martial arts can be for everyone, regardless of age, gender or experience levels. Throughout all of our programs, students will not only learn the necessary skill sets to protect themselves, we stand behind our realistic and practical approach, confident it will enable every member to achieve greatness and live their best life..

My name is Michael Joiner and I am a 5th Degree Blackbelt and World Champion in Taekwondo. I have been teaching martial arts for over 25 years. I strive to make a difference by being a leader in my career and in my community. I have had the opportunity to impact the lives of others through teaching life skills, leadership skills, and social skills. I am the business owner of Joiner’s Martial Arts and the founder of Karate 4 Christ Ministries Inc.
I use Karate 4 Christ as a platform for promoting Christianity and use my gifts and talents to honor God and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. My team and I go to juvenile centers, churches, group homes, and community events to educate, encourage, and inspire through motivational messages. Our goal is to give hope, change lives, and make a difference. We reach out to the homeless, struggling families, troubled youth, and the community to provide for and share the love of Jesus Christ.
I have been a state chaplain for years with the Department of Juvenile Justice. My focus throughout the years has been to rehabilitate juveniles facing penalties for their poor choices by building on their strengths and helping them recognize better avenues of life. Martial arts has helped me fine tune the quality traits of self-control, respect, positive decision making, goal setting, and discipline. I have served as a member of Harvest Times Juvenile Ministries since April of 2015 and have served on the board for six years. I’m also a board member for Ignite Community Counseling and Resource Center, United Nations Chaplain Association, and Remember Vets.
As I continue to grow as a loyal servant of God, I hope to be able to streamline my passion for the martial arts, to serve others and to make a positive change in the world. As I move towards taking the next steps of my career, I foresee my greatest opportunity to be serving internationally.
